The additional lyrics in the remix have been penned by Kunwar Juneja, while credits for the rap lyrics go to Gourov Dasgupta. The original lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri have not been altered much, except for the introductory stanza, and the rap. The original song was sung by Usha Mangeshkar, and the music was composed by Rajesh Roshan. The remade version of Mungda has been sung by Jyotica Tangri, Shaan, and Subhro Ganguly and Jyotica did not go wrong in keeping the appeal intact through her voice. Her toned body, and the perfect outfits appropriate for the song’s feel to be brought out, is something that makes us love Sonakshi in this groovy number. What caught our attention more was her physical transformation. Sonakshi, however, does good justice to the attitude of the song and we won’t say that we hated watching the remix much. While it will be injustice to compare Sonakshi with Helen, since the song is a remix of the old classic, a comparison is bound to come up.
#MUNGDA SONG SONAKSHI MOVIE#
The original song “Mungda” was made for the movie Inkaar in 1977, and it had the famous item girl of the yesteryears, Helen dancing to its tunes.
And yet again, we have the much awaited remix of the popular classic dance number “Mungda” and this time, we have Sonakshi rocking to its tunes, for the upcoming movie Total Dhamaal. However, the scene is quite the opposite today, since it is the age of remixes and remakes, we have 1 or 2 original songs coming out once in a while and all the rest are remixes of old songs, redone with some speedy rap and some matching EDM beats, to present it in a new avatar. There used to be a time, when one or two out of ten songs would be remixes of old tracks.
